The Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) is an independent organisation established to develop and operate a voluntary national timber certification scheme in Malaysia, in order to provide independent assessments of forest management practices as well as to meet the demand for certified timber products.
 
For chain-of-custody (COC) certification, MTCC has been using the Technical Document Chain of Custody of Forest Based Products - Requirements (PEFC ST 2002:2010) and referring to their scheme as the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS).

CATG is approved by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service and MTCS as a certification body for all MTCS schemes..
